Fees

Public Funding

We undertake a wide variety of work for clients who may be eligible for legal aid. Legal aid is dependent on your financial circumstances and is only available for certain areas of law.

If you think you may be eligible for public funding, we can quickly help you to assess if you are able to apply for legal aid and then make the relevant applications on your behalf.

More information on the current legal aid provisions is available from the gov.uk website here https://www.gov.uk/legal-aid/overview

Private Clients

At your initial appointment, your solicitor will explain in detail how our fees are calculated and provide you with an estimated cost for your legal process.

We also provide ongoing costs information to you throughout your case.

There are two types of fees:

• first, our costs, which are the charges raised for the time spent directly on your case,

• second, ‘disbursements’, which are the fees we incur on your behalf. These include barristers’ fees, court fees, Land Registry searches, medical reports etc. We will always get your authority to proceed before we incur these costs on your behalf.

If you want more information on how our private client fees are calculated, please contact us and we will be happy to provide more information.

Fees in relation to Motoring Offences

Please see our Motoring Offences page, which details our fixed fees covering advice and representation in the magistrates’ court in relation to road traffic offences.
