Criminal barristers refuse new work in protest at legal aid cuts

The Criminal Bar Association has announced ‘action for justice’ after 90% of respondents voted in favour of action over a new formula for calculating legal aid fees.

With the implementation date of the reform set for April 1, the CBA has asked members to consider not taking on any work from this date.
