Myrna is an experienced Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (FCILEx) and an Accredited Police Station Representative. She joined FMW Law in 2003.

Myrna has conduct of serious matters including multi-handed murder cases; serious assaults; all types of theft-related offences, including fraud, burglary and robbery; drug offences; and sexual offences.

Myrna is highly experienced at dealing with youths, and in dealing with sensitive, difficult and complex issues.

She is committed to working to a high standard in respect of any magistrates’ or crown court case.

Key cases

2012 – R v Virag – Eight-handed Human Trafficking (in and out of the United Kingdom) – for sexual exploitation – complex case, high profile with highly sensitive issues involving many foreign victims.

2011 – R v Mampuya – Central Criminal Court – 20-handed murder case – high profile and complex case – case discontinued against client on the day of trial.

2008 – R v Maughan – Central Criminal Court – 20-handed murder – complex case. The defendant was acquitted of murder and convicted of violent disorder – received 12 months’ supervision and a curfew order.
