Profile

Shabnam is a solicitor with over 20 years’ experience of criminal litigation, with specialist knowledge of criminal defence work since 1994. Over this time, she has been instructed in cases covering a wide range of crimes, ranging from minor theft matters to serious homicides.

She is an experienced criminal defence advocate dealing with all matters in the youth court and adult courts in respect of everything from simple remand hearings to contested trials in all aspects of criminal law.

Shabnam represents clients at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, the leading extradition court in England and Wales, in respect of contested and uncontested hearings, dealing with European and international arrest warrants.

She has been a full time member of the Court and Police Station Duty Solicitor schemes for over 15 years; she is also a member of the London Criminal Court Solicitors Association and a Member of the Law Society.
